Mechrey Floating Village Overnight Kayaking Adventure

2:00 PM – Hotel pick-up. Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Siem Reap and transfer you to Tonle Sap Lake, enjoying the beautiful countryside scenery along the way, with rice paddies, traditional stilt houses, and iconic sugar palm trees.

3:00 PM – Boat ride to Mechrey Floating Village. Upon arrival at the pier, board a local boat for a scenic journey across Tonle Sap Lake towards Mechrey Floating Village. Enjoy the beautiful lake scenery and observe the unique lifestyle of the floating community along the way.

3:30 PM – Arrive at the floating homestay and check in. Arrive at your floating kayak station, which will also be your homestay for the night. Settle into your accommodation and enjoy a unique opportunity to experience daily life on Tonle Sap Lake while staying with a local family.

4:00 PM – Kayaking through the floating village. Get ready for your first kayaking adventure. Paddle gently through the floating village, passing colorful floating houses and greeting local villagers along the way. Visit a floating school and observe how children learn and study while living on the lake.

5:00 PM – Return to the homestay and relax. Return to the floating homestay to freshen up, relax, and enjoy some free time while taking in the peaceful atmosphere of the lake.

5:30 PM – Sunset drinks. Enjoy a refreshing sunset drink while admiring the beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere of Tonle Sap Lake. Meanwhile, your host family will prepare a homemade Khmer dinner.

6:30 PM – Homemade Khmer dinner. Enjoy a traditional Khmer dinner prepared by your local host family. Spend the evening sharing stories, learning about local traditions, and experiencing the warm hospitality of the floating community.

Overnight – Floating-house homestay. Spend the night at the floating-house homestay with your local host family. Your English-speaking guide will also stay overnight to assist you throughout the experience.

6:30 AM – Wake up and breakfast. Wake up to the peaceful atmosphere of the floating village and enjoy a simple local breakfast at the homestay.

7:30 AM – Boat ride to the open lake. After breakfast, board a local boat and head towards the open waters of Tonle Sap Lake. Along the way, observe local fishermen going about their daily activities and enjoy the beautiful morning scenery.

8:00 AM – Boat transfer to the flooded forest. Continue by boat towards the flooded forest, surrounded by the unique natural landscape of Tonle Sap Lake.

8:30 AM – Kayaking through the flooded forest (1 hour). Upon arrival, get ready for another kayaking adventure through the tranquil waterways of the flooded forest. Paddle gently among the lush vegetation, surrounded by the natural sounds of birds and wildlife. Take your time to appreciate the unique beauty and ecosystem of this remarkable lake.

9:30 AM – Return boat journey. After completing the kayaking experience, board the boat again and cruise back towards the pier, enjoying the peaceful scenery of the lake.

10:30-11:00 AM – Return to Siem Reap. Upon arrival at the pier, meet your driver and transfer back to your hotel in Siem Reap, marking the end of your memorable overnight floating village and kayaking adventure.
