Tonle Sap Lake Unique Kayaking Adventure

7:00 AM – Hotel pick-up. Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Siem Reap and drive to Mechrey Floating Village Boat Dock, passing through scenic countryside dotted with traditional Khmer houses, rice paddies, lotus farms, and sugar palm trees.

8:00 AM – Boat ride to Mechrey Floating Village. Upon arrival at the dock, board a local boat and cruise across Tonle Sap Lake towards Mechrey Floating Village. Discover the unique lifestyle of the local community as you pass floating houses, schools, and vegetable gardens while experiencing the warm hospitality of the villagers.

9:00 AM – Visit the kayak station. Arrive at the kayak station, located in a floating house, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink and take a short break. You may also visit the local crocodile farm (optional), while your guide introduces you to the lake’s ecosystem, local culture, and village traditions.

9:30 AM – Boat transfer to the flooded forest. After a safety briefing and putting on your safety gear, collect your drinking water and snacks before boarding the boat again for a scenic 30-minute ride across the open lake to the flooded forest.

10:00 AM – Kayaking adventure (1 hour). Upon arrival, hop into your kayak and enjoy approximately one hour paddling through the peaceful waterways surrounded by flooded trees. Along the way, observe birds, wildlife, and local fishermen while immersing yourself in the natural beauty of Tonle Sap Lake.

11:00 AM – Return boat journey. After kayaking, board the boat again and cruise back towards the pier, enjoying the beautiful lake scenery along the way.

12:00-1:00/2:00 PM – Return to Siem Reap. Upon arrival at the pier, meet your driver and transfer back to your hotel in Siem Reap. The exact arrival time may vary depending on lake conditions and the day’s schedule.

7:00-7:30 PM – Return to Siem Reap. Arrive at the pier and meet your driver for the transfer back to your hotel in Siem Reap, concluding your memorable kayaking and floating village adventure.
